Two Ibis Care homes have received high praise from the palliative and end of life care team at Calvary Health Care. The care teams at Ibis Care Blakehurst and Miranda have been recognised in the top 7 of 57 residential aged care homes for their approach at one of the most important and sensitive times of life’s journey.
Ibis Care’s staff have been trained under Calvary’s speciliased palliative care team, and are now leading the way in care for residents who choose to stay at home to receive end of life care.

Palliative and end of life care is a special type of care that aims to support people with life limiting illness and their families to live life as well as possible, right to the last breath.
Palliative and end of life care often enlists multidisciplinary teams of clinicians, and allied and primary health practitioners to meet the needs of the individual and can be provided in hospital, aged care homes, specialist services or at home.
